Violin
Violin lessons for children and adults. One-to-one and duet lessons available.
Our violin program is designed for students aged 4.5 and above, with both one-on-one and small group lessons (1:2 ratio) available. We provide a supportive and structured learning environment that helps students build confidence, discipline, and a strong musical foundation.
We primarily follow the Suzuki Method, which emphasizes learning through listening, repetition, and consistent practice. This approach allows students to develop natural musicality while building solid technical skills from an early stage.
Our curriculum focuses on:
- Correct posture, bow hold, and instrument positioning
- Tone production and sound quality
- Rhythm, coordination, and intonation
- Ear training and listening skills
- Music reading and repertoire development
- Ensemble skills and performance confidence
Lessons are held once a week, with flexible durations of 30, 45, or 60 minutes, depending on the student’s age, level, and goals. Parents are encouraged to be involved in the learning process, especially for younger beginners, to support effective practice at home.
Students have regular performance opportunities, helping them build stage confidence and enjoy sharing their progress with others.
We also offer structured preparation for ABRSM, Trinity College London, and NCEA Music examinations. Our teaching balances technical development with musical expression, ensuring students not only achieve strong exam results but also grow into confident and expressive musicians.
