Muzi is an experienced vocal teacher with over ten years of teaching experience, specialising in vocal training for children and teenagers.
She graduated from Shandong University of Arts, majoring in Vocal Performance, and later undertook further professional studies at the Central Conservatory of Music, continuing to develop her expertise in vocal performance and pedagogy.
Having taught vocal music in New Zealand for several years, Muzi has developed a strong understanding of the learning needs of local students. Her teaching places particular emphasis on building a solid foundation in healthy and effective vocal technique. Lessons may include breathing, vocal production, pitch, rhythm, musical expression and performance skills, with the content adapted to each student’s age, vocal development and individual learning goals.
Muzi believes that strong fundamentals are essential for long-term vocal development. Through patient and structured guidance, she helps students develop healthy singing habits, improve their musical awareness and expression, and gradually build confidence in performance.
Her lessons are suitable for students learning for enjoyment as well as those wishing to pursue more structured vocal studies. She also provides preparation and guidance for ABRSM Singing examinations.
